Dr. Jim Kimple

JimDr. Jim Kimple has been a consultant and trainer in organizational effectiveness, work restructuring, and workforce development since 1980. He has served manufacturing clients in the metals, automotive, medical products, and consumer goods industries. Clients also include health care organizations, public school systems, government, and social service agencies, and unions that represent workers in the above industries. His training and consulting have resulted in reduced cost, increased performance and productivity, improved quality and customer experience. Jim’s approach has focused on creating an optimal fit between technical systems and the human systems that support them. He has designed and facilitated training in process analysis, quality systems, effective communication, problem solving, emotional intelligence, negotiation and conflict resolution to support those efforts. He has assisted unions and management in joint planning and work redesign initiatives, and he has served as a neutral facilitator in contract negotiations. Jim has presented his work at national conferences including the American Society for Quality, the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, and the FMCS National Labor-Management Conference. He is an adjunct professor in the MBA program at Mount Saint Mary College and is Board Chair for Independent Home Care, Inc. as well as the Independent Strategy Group of Independent Living.

Ellen Messer

EllenEllen Messer creates and presents customized experiential learning and other interventions designed to help people “work efficiently with and through each other to accomplish organizational goals.” Her expertise has assisted clients to develop strategies to increase focus, collaboration, team performance and authentic cooperation among all organizational levels. She has worked with Fortune 500 corporations, healthcare organizations, small businesses and public sector service organizations. Ellen has coached and developed strategy with executives, conferenced with and trained middle management, and presented assessment-based programs for front-line workers to improve performance and meet multiple challenges. Her enthusiasm, spontaneity and the ease with which she relates to people have been cited as key factors in her success. Ms. Messer’s programs include among others, Supervision & Management: A Strategic Approach, Diversity Awareness and Inclusion, Assertiveness and Communication Skills, The Way of the Leader, Build a Winning Team, The Joy of Meetings, Conflict Breakthrough, Problem Finding, Solving and Decision Making. Ellen was the President of The Samson Group, a virtual work team originally created to consult with Xerox Business Services to develop and facilitate their organization wide cultural change strategy, WorkLife Learning. She presented Xerox’s Leadership Through Quality throughout the United States. Her clients include Amtrak, Southern California Edison, The Longshore Workers and Pacific Maritime, and Midwest Express Airlines. IBM, Xerox Business Services, the Rennselaerville Institute, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, as well as small private businesses, Law Firms, the New York State Office of Court Administration, universities and colleges. Ms. Messer has been active in Health Care organizations, most recently as the Organization Development Manager at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley where she was responsible for creating a unified work culture following an institutional merger, strengthening clinical and support teams and coaching executive management in the process skills needed to handle ongoing challenges.
